Members of our community have been directly affected by the ongoing immigration challenges in Minneapolis. As families navigate uncertainty, many are facing immediate needs such as food assistance, with emerging concerns around housing stability, utilities, and access to legal support.
In response, the Kenyan Community Church is mobilizing to provide practical, compassionate care—meeting urgent needs while walking alongside families with dignity, confidentiality, and prayerful support.

Adopt-a-Family Sign-Up
During this time, you have the opportunity to walk alongside a family in need by participating in our Adopt-a-Family initiative.
By signing up, you are indicating your willingness to:
- Receive a shopping list with food and basic household needs for a family
- Provide support through one-time or ongoing assistance, as you are able
- Either shop and drop off items yourself at the church or shop and arrange for pickup so our team can deliver them.
All family information is treated with care, confidentiality, and dignity. Coordination is overseen by trusted church leadership to guarantee safety and respect for all participants. This option enables families to access culturally appropriate food and essential household items while upholding their privacy and dignity.
